The City Council is the legislative and policy making body of the City of Monahans operating under the authority of the City Charter. The responsibility of the Council are to enact legislation, adopt the budget, set the tax rate, determine policies and approve the Mayor's appointment of the City Manager, City Secretary, Municipal Court Judge and all Boards and Commissions Members.
The City Council Meetings are scheduled the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at 3:00pm in the City Council Chamber located at City Hall, 112 W. 2nd Street in Monahans.
To have an item placed on the agenda, an Agenda Request Form can be picked up at the City Secretary's Office at City Hall.
