The city landfill accepts bulky items that do not fit into waste containers (dumpsters), such as tree limbs, brush, construction debris, stones, appliances and furniture.  The landfill will also accept refrigerators and air conditioners that have had the Freon unit removed.  If you have any questions about what might not be acceptable, call the landfill and a technician will be able to help you.

 

 

 

GENERAL RULES

• loads must be covered with a tarp to prevent spillage
• salvaging is not allowed
• chemicals or flammable materials (gasoline, household cleaners, pool chemical, etc.) or waste that is considered hazardous, unidentifiable or questionable can not be disposed

 

 LANDFILL FEES

There is no charge for city residents to take their bulk trash such as brush, large tree limbs, and old furniture to the landfill.  Residents will need to provide proof of residency by bringing their drivers license and a copy of their most recent water bill.  Anyone living outside the city limits and any business that is hauling bulk trash such as construction or landscaping businesses will be charged a tonnage fee.
